A philology that makes intensity and affection two of its crucial vectors enables us to think of texts not only as frameworks forged and sustained by desire, but as a desiring fabric, marked by passion. Based on Hamacher’s reading of a text by Milton, separation is exposed as an operation that has an extremely
productive performance when it comes to thinking relationality both in its textual and erotic dimension.
