The article aims, firstly, to elucidate the appropriation that Camus makes of the phenomenological philosophy, in particular the method proper to this current, in the first cycle of his work -the cycle of the absurd- to sustain, later, that his literary production is a manifestation of certain phenomena. The focus of analysis will be specifically on The Outsider in which the absurd phenomenon is expressed literarily. In conclusion, it is argued that Camus's literary work aims to give expression to the inherent meaning of lived experiences.
