Abstract

The present article crosses the work of the poet Federico García Lorca making an special emphasis in his condition of "crucible" of cultures, topics, styles, procedures, vanguards and sources. He has been placed not only as a writer of andalucista kind, slighUy airead y known and vasUy studied, but as a vanguardist poet where his book Poeta en Nueva York is not only parodigmatic but mainly, it keeps a propheticforce and a current importancefor the time it was written (1929-1930).
