La inducción en Aristóteles y sus antecedentes problemáticos en Sócrates y Platón
Abstract
The article refers to the problem that induction (epagogé) and definition (horismós) find in Socrates' philosophy, as reported by Plato's minor dialogues and Aristotle's Metaphysics. This problem is how one can justify the definition which is formed by similar cases of a moral property when following the inductive experience of those who are said to be wiser. lt argues that Plato sees the problem of induction in Socrates' soul, not the Forms. The Forms are the Platonic solution to this problem and Plato the responsible for epistemology in the same problematic way of post-Humean literature. Aristotle is seen as another Socratic author and his solution, although not Platonic, it is not entirely contradictory to it. The article ends with a consideration concerning the place of Socrates in this interpretation.
