Resumen
En este trabajo se identifican y analizan las ideas de Freire relacionadas con la transdisciplinariedad y con una visión desde la educación y la gestión del conocimiento, relacionando sus importantes contribuciones al desarrollo equitativo del mundo. También se presenta una discusión de hasta qué punto y en qué contextos en el mundo contemporáneo tienen valor estas ideas, y en el que, por lo tanto, deben ser relevantes. Teniendo en cuenta las realidades de la sociedad actual, sobre todo en las zonas rurales, las ideas de Freire parecen más relevantes que nunca antes para el sistema de educación, porque pueden conducir a la liberación personal, la auto-determinación, la movilización y la acción política, y a una transformación social radical.
