Abstract
In the First Letter to the Corinthians, Clement of Rome establishes a correlation between Hellenistic-Roman culture and revelation, through Stoic cosmology and the myth of the Phoenix. Such a cosmology maintains that each element of the real is in solidarity with the rest, which establishes the foundation for a symbolic reading of the world. The Phoenix is presented as a prodigious sign of the resurrection; For this reason, our author does not ask himself if the story is true or not, but he offers the reader those elements that can contribute to the understanding of the central dogma of the resurrection.
