Power and Culture in 14th century Florence: From local powers to popular movements

The 14th century represents a period where social forces define new cultural identities. This is reflected in the shaping of new groups which redefi ne the social, economic and mental order of Western Europe through political ideologies and practices pertaining to labour unions.
