This text argues that in the poetic-musical work of Mauricio Redolés, memory is constructed as a form of resistance that allows the present to be summoned critically as a creative force of meaning. It is proposed that the poet-musician offers a polyphonic, humorous, and hopeful counter-archive that succeeds in using memory to build something that is always new: the imagination of a language that both expresses and opposes the contradictions, fractures, and defeats of Chile under dictatorship and post-dictatorship.
