Abstract

In this work the author analyzes the interpretation that Kant offers of the commandment of love of neighbor in his ethical texts, with especial attention to the Doctrine of Virtue. The work tries to account for the way in which Kant deals with the affective element that lies to this evangelical commandment. The interpretative key lies in the treatment that Kant develops in the paragraph on aesthetic pre-notions of the receptivity of the soul for the concepts of duty in general.
