The morphology of Goethe’s italian journey

In this essay it seeks on the morphology of Johann Wolfgang von Goethe`s travel in Italy circumscribed on his self-formation and the interaction among the categories nature, art and society. It draws attention over the rule of Goethean eye`s aesthetics essential to the knowledge of Classical Antiquity, modern art, Italian landscape and nature. The article based mainly upon the compiled accounts of the work Italian Journey, but without forgetting to relate them with other poetical, autobiographical and scientific Goethe`s writings.
