La creación del mundo lírico de Beulah en las Songs of Innocence de William Blake considera la recreación de distintos símbolos a través de los cuales Blake compone su mundo de fi cción y establece una relación con la tradición literaria que en muchos sentidos es de continuación. Sin embargo, a través del constante motivo del extravío, Blake desterritorializa la tradición, creando un mundo lírico de inocencia total y aspiración espiritual en la cual el poeta se transforma en el visionario y constructor del nuevo paraíso del hombre.
