Fernando González Ochoa: searching for the self-expression
Keywords:
colombian literature, Fernando González Ochoa, literature and philosophy, autofiction, confessionAbstract
The purpose of the current article is to present the work of the Colombian writer Fernando González Ochoa (1895-1964) a writer almost as unknown in Colombia as outside of the country. Coming from the margins of literature and philosophy, Ochoa’s writing opposed the official high culture of his time. The understanding of his esthetic proposal allows balancing his contribution to the reformation of the novel in Colombia, and Latin America between 1930 and 1940.
