The digression. Malabou, Derrida and the vulgar concept of time. (On the inactuality of Hegel)
Keywords:
Future, Digression, Fall, Derrida, MalabouAbstract
We touch here The future of Hegel, of Catherine Malabou, in the light of a digression of Jacques Derrida, published in Margins of Philosophy, and which refers to the gravity of the metaphor. In this reference is at stake the problem of a “Fall in general” and the problem of a beyond the limits of metaphysics. Observing that Malabou omits this digression in its text, we seek to understand its attempt to think of Hegel’s future as a kind of digression that interrupts Hegel’s inscription in the
vulgar concept of time and its confinement in the past. We suggest, touching Malabou’s Thought, that in this attempt it not only seems that Derrida’s digression on the gravity of the metaphor cannot be omitted completely, but also it is related to the thought of the plastic formation of the future under the sign of Excess and the Fall
