In the documentary Andrés Caicedo: Unos pocos buenos amigos (1986), filmaker Luis Ospina reviews Andres Caicedo’s literature from his passionate interest on cinema. In this film, Ospina, as a close friend, presents cinema as Caicedo’s main interest and activity. This article analyzes cinephilia as main source in both, Caicedo’s literature imagery and Ospina’s esthetic based on personal aspects: his youth, his friends and his town. The article combines visual, literary and historical analysis to show how intermediality characterizes Caicedo and Ospina’s works.
